Our goals with this loyalty card program are to

1) Promote West Bank Businesses

2) Drive return traffic to the area

Reminder – Member Meeting Today

Hi Everyone,

As many of you already know, we will not be having a vote today regarding the new bylaws. Some further revisions were made at our membership committee meeting on September 12; as such, per our current bylaws we need to have a 1 month period from the presentation of the bylaws to the voting on them. Cedar Avenue Sidewalk Reconstruction – Public Meeting

Project Scope

The City of Minneapolis and Hennepin County are partnering to improve the pedestrian space along Cedar Avenue in the West Bank neighborhood. Project elements include the following:

Reconstruct sidewalks from 3rd Street S to 7th Street S – removing curbs on the west side of the street to expand sidewalk space
Save the existing trees whenever possible, but plant new trees as needed
Replace tree grates
Install pedestrian lighting
Reconfigure Cedar Avenue from a 4-lane to a 3-lane roadway

UofM Training Exercise on Weds

On Wednesday, August 14, the University of Minnesota will hold an emergency training exercise on the West Bank campus beginning at 9:00 a.m. The emergency training exercise will take place at the two Regis Center for Art buildings (east and west), located at 405 and 418 21st Avenue S, Minneapolis. This exercise will allow multiple agencies to test and practice working together so they will continue to be well prepared when responding to major emergencies. This is an exercise only and not an actual emergency.
